We Provide Real Business SolutionsWhen a manufacturer / distributor of a niche product wanted more insight into its data, it called on Aviana for help. The source ERP had plenty of data, but not a lot of options for reporting. Additionally, the ERP allowed entry in nonstandard formats, leading to "dirty" data. Aviana implemented a "data cleansing" process that took data in several formats and transformed it into a consistent output. This clean data was then fed to a Data Mart and used to create PowerPlay cubes and several reports. Following this first phase, the client brought Aviana back for several buildouts of its Data Mart. Among these was the addition of Sales data to Financial and Operational data, a process which required detailed work to keep all data in conformed dimensions so that the client could make meaningful comparisons. Aviana also performed several upgrades for the client. These included multiple upgrades of Cognos BI and Cognos Finance, and upgrades from SQL Server 2000 to 2005. The client remains satisfied with Aviana’s work and is an ongoing customer. |
