| Methodology: The very nature of offshore development requires the existence of very strong processes and procedures and checks and balances in place to ensure the strict adherence to these standards.Aviana's processes and procedures have been defined, reused and refined to minimize the possibility of unexpected slippages. Aviana uses a very efficient slippage matrix to track such projects and ensure quick detection and remedy of problem areas. Our project management methodology has been in use within Aviana for many years and has been refined overtime and over projects to contain the level of granularity that minimizes the occurrence of unplanned delays during the project life cycle. |

| Project Experience: Aviana was involved in a project to outsource a mission critical financial application overseas. The project involved the maintenance and enhancement of a legacy application and was handled in several phases. The First phase was a training and familiarization phase where the developers and Project managers spent time at the client's site to learn the application and understand the needs, priorities and the culture of the client. The Second phase required the developers from overseas to work on only enhancements that required more than 48 hours turnaround. The Third phase was when the developers and Project managers were conversant enough to undertake problem fixes which needed quick turnaround times. The project was so successful that the client awarded the same team to rewrite the legacy application using newer technology. The development was also done overseas. |
